Lesson 1:  What are minerals and rocks? What to know: What is a Mineral (concrete definition) What is a Rock, differences between minerals and rocks.
Lesson 2: What are the Types of Rocks? Remember the different types of rocks seen: Igneous, Sedimentary and Metamorphic rock, remember their characteristics and how they are formed.

Lesson 3 How do landforms change quickly? Know how landforms change and know each example of the Natural Hazards: Earthquakes, Volcanoes, Floods.
Know the story of the Great Dam of China.

Chapter 8 Conserving Resources
Lesson 1: What are some types of resources? Definition of a resource, Renewable Resources know the definition and examples, Reusable Resources definition, Nonrenewable resources.
Chapter 9 The Water Cycle: The importance of water, Diagram of the water on Earth (Pie chart), Fresh water examples and definition, Salt Water examples and definition.
Lesson 2 What is the water cycle? Different states of water, How water changes state.

Lesson 3 What is Weather? Weather patterns, know the Sea Breeze and the Land Breeze, Gathering Weather data, knowing which tools are used to measure different patterns in weather.

Chapter 11: Properties of Matter Define what is matter and Physical Properties of Matter, How to measure it. Know the definition and difference between: Mass, Volume and Density.
States of matter: Solids, liquids and Gases think of the meaning of each and examples.
Changes of state meanings of: Evaporation and Condensation.

Chapter 12 Energy: Describe sources of energy, Forms of energy, Learn the Battery Diagram.
Chapter 13 Electricity and Magnets. What to know: The definition of Static Electricity and Current Electricity, Know how electricity moves the difference between a Conductor and an Insulator.
Lesson 2: What are Magnets? Know the definition of “Magnetic” and some uses of magnets. How electricity and Magnets are related. Study ONLY Electromagnets and Generators in this section.
